Life and register readings
The life of Mustafa Asım Efendi began in Tosya in 1860/61 (AH 1277). The annual lists begin in 1878/79, with Mustafa Asım as Tahrirat Kalemi memuru in Tosya, the birthplace, where the entries run to 1881/82. At the same time, from 1881 to 1886, the lists also place Mustafa Asım in Kastamonu as Tahrirat Kalemi stajyeri. Alongside, the lists for 1885 to 1888 give a second post, in İskilip as Mal Muduru, with a rise to Mal Muduru.
