Mustafa Nuri Efendi

Mustafa Nuri Efendi was born in Behçova in 1868/69 (AH 1285); the father's occupation was "telgraf çavuşu". The schooling was at a school for young children (Sıbyan Mektebi).

At about 21, in 1889/90, Mustafa Nuri began work, on a first salary of 200 kuruş. The annual lists begin in 1889/90, with Mustafa Nuri as Dafni İskelesi Telgraf ve Posta İdaresi postacısı and no place named. Alongside, the lists for 1892 to 1901 give a second post, in Štip as İştip merkezleri postacısı. The lists have no entry for 1901 to 1903. Alongside, the lists for 1900/01 give a second post, in a post with no place named as Behçova Telgraf ve Posta Merkezi postane memuru. Alongside, the lists for 1900/01 give a second post, in Radoviste as Radovişte Telgraf ve Posta Merkezi postacısı. The last entry, for 1903/04, names Mustafa Nuri as Osmaniye Telgraf ve Posta Merkezi haberleşme memuru, with no place.

Pay rose from 200 kuruş a month in 1889/90 to a peak of 250 in 1903/04, when 22 per cent of paid officials earned less. The last annual entry is for 1903/04.
