Mihran Mildonyan Efendi

Mihran Mildonyan Efendi was born in Kütahya in 1869/70 (AH 1286) into the Hristiyan community; the father was a jeweller (kuyumcu). Work began in Kütahya in 1887/88, at about 18. The annual lists begin in 1887/88, with Mihran Mildonyan as Telgrafhane mülazımı in Kütahya, the birthplace, where the entries run to 1892/93. At the same time, from 1892 to 1894, the lists also place Mihran Mildonyan in Bolvadin in the Düyun-ı Umumiye kitabet ve sandık emaneti. Alongside, the lists for 1893/94 give a second post, in Bursa as Düyun-ı Umumiye Nezareti mülazımı. Alongside, the lists for 1893 to 1897 give a second post, in Küplü as Düyun-ı Umumiye sandık emini. Alongside, the lists for 1896 to 1900 give a second post, in Bilecik as Düyun-ı Umumiye Müdürlüğü ikinci kâtibi. The salary never rose above the first in the lists, 400 kuruş a month in 1892/93, in Bolvadin, when 45 per cent of paid officials earned less. The final annual entry is for 1899/1900.
