Life and register readings
Born in Malatya in 1851/52 (AH 1268), İbrahim Talat Efendi was the child of a merchant (tüccar). İbrahim Talat began work in Adıyaman (Hısnımansur) in 1877/78, at about 25, on a first salary of 300 kuruş. The first annual entry, for 1877/78, places İbrahim Talat in Adıyaman as Aşar Kâtibi, where the entries run to 1878/79.
