Life and register readings
Ömer Feyzi Efendi was born in Bilât in 1853/54 (AH 1270), into the İslam community. At about 17, in 1871/72, Ömer Feyzi began work in Feke. The annual lists begin in 1871/72, with Ömer Feyzi as Mal yazı işleri stajyeri in Feke, where the entries run to 1875/76. Alongside, the lists for 1875 to 1881 give a second post, in Saimbeyli as Vergi sayım memuru ve ek kâtiplik. Next came Mersin in 1882/83 and Adana in 1886/87. For 1883 to 1886 and 1887 to 1889 the lists have no entry. The last posts were in Kastamonu from 1889 to 1897.
