Life and register readings
The life of Mehmed Enisî Paşa began in Izmir (İzmir) in 1841/42 (AH 1257). At about 16, in 1856/57, Mehmed Enisî began work in Izmir. The first annual entry, for 1856/57, places Mehmed Enisî in Izmir, the birthplace, as Tahrîrât Odası kâtibi; Meclis-i Kebîr mukayyidi. For 1857 to 1866 the lists have no entry. Mehmed Enisî then moved to Istanbul in 1866/67, then back to Istanbul from 1872 to 1875. The lists have no entry for 1869 to 1872.
