Life and register readings
Reşid Paşa was born in Cerkezistan in 1844/45 (AH 1260). Work began in 1863/64, at about 19. The first annual entry, for 1863/64, names Reşid as Hizmet-i devlete dâhil, with no place. For 1864 to 1866 and 1867 to 1877 the lists have no entry. Next came Thessaloniki (Selanik), Şebinkarahisar (Karahisar-ı Şarki), Sivas and Chios (Sakız), four places in 18 years.
