Life and register readings
The life of SEYİT EMİN EFENDİ began in Kirkuk (Kerkük) in 1868/69 (AH 1285). EMİN studied at a school for young children (Sıbyan Mektebi). At about 19, in 1887/88, EMİN began work in Kirkuk. The annual lists begin in 1887/88, with EMİN as Muhasebe ve vergi kalemleri mülazımı in Kirkuk, the birthplace, where the entries run to 1896/97. Alongside, the lists for 1896 to 1908 give a second post, in a post with no place named as Vergi kâtibi.
