Life#
Born in Tavşancıl in 1882/83 (AH 1300), Mustafa Sıdkı Efendi came from the Muslim (Müslüman) community. Schooling took four years, at a school for young children (Sıbyan Mektebi).
Work began in Tavşancıl in 1900/01, at about 17, with three unpaid years as a mülazım (apprentice) before a first salary of 250 kuruş. Both annual entries, for 1903/04 and 1904/05, place Mustafa Sıdkı in Çorum as a communications official (Muhabere Memuru).
The salary never rose above the first in the lists, 250 kuruş a month in 1903/04, as Muhabere Memuru in Çorum, when 14 per cent of paid officials earned less. The last annual entry is for 1904/05; the list of 1905/06 (AH 1323) gives the status word Vefat (death).
