Life#
Ali Haydar Bey was born in Istanbul in 1871/72 (AH 1288), into the Muslim (Müslüman) community. Schooling took seven years, at a middle school (Rüşdiye Mektebi).
Work began in Istanbul in 1885/86, at about 15, paid from the start, on 200 kuruş a month. From the first annual entry, for 1885/86, to 1906/07, every annual entry places Ali Haydar in the same post, communications official (Muhabere Memuru), in Istanbul, the birthplace.
