Life#
Murat Remzi Efendi was born in Cerkezistan in 1868/69 (AH 1285) into the Muslim (Müslüman) community; the father's occupation was "Talebe". Schooling took seven years, at a middle school (Rüşdiye Mektebi).
Work began in Ajloun (Aclun) in 1888/89, at about 20, paid from the start, on 150 kuruş a month. The first annual entry, for 1888/89, places Murat Remzi in Ajloun as a communications official (Muhabere Memuru), where the entries run to 1894/95. The lists have no entry for 1895 to 1900. The last posts were in Hanmeteyn from 1900 to 1904 and Zumrud kalesi in 1904/05, with a rise to official for written correspondence (Muharrerat Memuru) in 1900/01.
