Life#
Born in Istanbul in 1882/83 (AH 1300) into the Muslim (Müslüman) community, AHMET REFİK EFENDİ was the child of a telegraph official (telgraf memuru). AHMET REFİK had nine years of schooling, at the Darulmuallim Mektebi. Few officials studied at Darulmuallim Mektebi; only 4 of the 5,146 officials with a school did.
