Life#
Born in Trebin in 1871/72 (AH 1288), Osman Efendi came from the Muslim (Müslüman) community. Osman had seven years of schooling, at a middle school (Rüşdiye Mektebi), and spoke French.
Work began in Beyoğlu in 1899/1900, at about 28, paid from the start, on 340 kuruş a month. The annual lists begin in 1899/1900, with Osman as Kapici in Beyoğlu, where the entries run to 1902/03. The last posts were in Istanbul from 1903 to 1907.
