Life#
Born in Gjakova (Yakova) in 1881/82 (AH 1299) into the Muslim (Müslüman) community, Mustafa Şevki Efendi was the child of a senior clerk (hacegân). Mustafa Şevki was taught by a private teacher.
At about 20, in 1902/03, Mustafa Şevki began work in Bitola (Manastır), paid from the start, on 250 kuruş a month. The annual lists begin in 1902/03, with Mustafa Şevki as a communications official (Muhabere Memuru) in Bitola, where the entries run to 1905/06. The last post was in Erzurum in 1906/07.
