Life#
Born in Trikala (Tırhala) in 1875/76 (AH 1292), İbrahim Galib Bey came from the Muslim (Müslüman) community; the father was a district governor or lieutenant colonel (kaymakam). Schooling took seven years, at a middle school (Rüşdiye Mektebi); İbrahim Galib also wrote French, Greek (Rum) and Turkish.
At about 24, in 1899/1900, İbrahim Galib began work in Istanbul, paid from the start, on 200 kuruş a month. From the first annual entry, for 1899/1900, to 1904/05, every annual entry places İbrahim Galib in the same office, accounts office (Muhasebe Kalemi), in Istanbul.
