Life#
İbrahim Halil Efendi was born in Konya in 1870/71 (AH 1287) into the Muslim (Müslüman) community; the father was a tradesman (esnaf). Schooling took seven years, at a middle school (Rüşdiye Mektebi).
İbrahim Halil began work in Ioannina (Yanya) in 1895/96, at about 25, paid from the start, on 400 kuruş a month. The first annual entry, for 1896/97, places İbrahim Halil in Marmara Ereğlisi as a communications official (Muhabere Memuru), where the entries run to 1900/01. The last posts were in Enez in 1901/02, and Zvezdets in 1902/03, as a director of the third grade (3. Müdür) and Galadinic in 1903/04.
