Life#
Born in Tirana (Tiran) in 1884/85 (AH 1302) into the Muslim (Müslüman) community, İbrahim Şefik Efendi was the child of a telegraph director (telgraf müdürü). Schooling took seven years, at a middle school (Rüşdiye Mektebi); İbrahim Şefik also held a qualification (a diploma, certificate, training or decoration).
Work began in Tirana in 1903/04, at about 18, paid from the start, on 250 kuruş a month. Both annual entries, for 1903/04 and 1904/05, place İbrahim Şefik in Bitola (Manastır) as a communications official (Muhabere Memuru).
The salary never rose above the first in the lists, 250 kuruş a month in 1903/04, as Muhabere Memuru in Bitola, when 14 per cent of paid officials earned less. The last annual entry is for 1904/05.
